Martin Rifall

Martin Rifall has extensive experience in court proceedings as well as domestic and international arbitration proceedings. He has acted as counsel for Swedish and foreign companies in inter alia SCC, ICC and ad hoc arbitrations. Martin has a particular focus on construction disputes, acting as counsel for employers and contractors in large national and international construction projects. Martin also regularly advises clients in disputes relating to natural resources, such as valuable metals and minerals, natural gas and oil. He also sits as arbitrator on a regular basis.

Martin advises clients on all stages of the construction process, including tender documentation, contract drafting and negotiations. Martin regularly gives lectures on construction law.

Further, Martin experienced in investor/State disputes, including challenging arbitral awards rendered in such disputes. He has also co-authored the Swedish chapter in The International Arbitration Review.

Snellman har biträtt K2A Knaust & Andersson Fastigheter i samband med förhandling och tecknande av entreprenadkontrakt för K2A:s projekt i Slakthusområdet i Stockholm. Projektet omfattar 247 student- och forskarbostäder, en förskola samt en idrottshall och utvecklas i två kvarter med färdigställande under tredje kvartalet 2027 respektive tredje kvartalet 2028. De nya lägenheterna kommer att produceras i trä och bostadsbyggnaderna samt förskolan miljöcertifieras med Svanenmärkning. Idrottshallen kommer att certifieras med Miljöbyggnad Silver. Snellman har biträtt John Mattson i samband med förhandling och tecknande av entreprenadkontrakt med RO-Gruppen avseende vård- och omsorgsboende på fastigheten Geografiboken i Abrahamsberg, Bromma. Projektet avser nyproduktion av ett vård- och omsorgsboende som planeras omfatta 100 platser med en uthyrningsbar area om 6 568 kvadratmeter. Projektet kommer att certifieras enligt Miljöbyggnad Silver. Kontraktet är villkorat av att bygglov erhålls. Projektet har planerad byggstart under andra kvartalet 2026 och förväntas färdigställas under fjärde kvartalet 2028. Snellmans team har bestått av Martin Rifall och Julia Zetterberg (Construction).

Snellman counsel to IK Partners in its acquisition of Tecomatic

Snellman acted as counsel to IK Partners in its acquisition of Tecomatic, a leading Swedish provider of water treatment and erosion control solutions, from PEQ Invest. IK is investing from IK Small Cap III Fund’s dedicated pool of Development Capital, alongside Tecomatic’s management team who will be reinvesting.

Tecomatic is a specialist in protecting critical infrastructure and purifying marine environments, with end-to-end solutions for water treatment and erosion control. Tecomatic was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Kalmar, Sweden.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
